On Monday, our neighbour Madame Debely who lives across the road dropped in to see if we'd like to go out to see a view of Neuchâtel, the main town in the area. She and her husband Monsieur Debely drove us up into the forest on the other side of "our valley" to a viewing tower overlooking not just Neuchâtel lake, but also the other 3 lakes which make up the "3 Lakes" area of Switzerland. Considering Monsieur D is 80 and Madame D is 75, we appreciated this neighbourly gesture very much. We had a very enjoyable time - in spite of my broken French.
The view west to Saint Blaise.
East to Neuchâtel and beyond.
Monsieur et Madame Debely and us at a little local establishment (at a horse riding school) nearby. OK, so I'm drinking a Coke :( AND I didn't take a horsey photo for Aja :( :(
Great kids playground which I'm sure Aja would have loved, with the tower we climbed and the top of the funicular from Neuchâtel.
