We had a great day today buzzing around the countryside in the little red Peugeot. The star of the day was the countryside, which is impossible to do justice to - amazing vistas everywhere you turn, but trying to get the scale and colour in a photo is almost impossible.
The view from a road near the Chasseral, looking back to where we came from - maybe our valley is down there somewhere?
The little red Pug and Le Chasseral (the ridge) in the background.
Some hang-gliders who just leapt from the ridge - more to come on the right.
Our lunch spot - in a field on Mont Soleil, just out of St Imier.
Goumois (in Switzerland) viewed from France - on the river Doubs.
Just to prove how amazing the scenery here is, I decided to take a random shot out of the car window as we were driving along - this is the result.
St Ursanne - a mediaeval town which was pretty amazing really. Well preserved and touristy, but also lived in.
You get the idea.
Our best food stop so far - the view from here was the last pic. A friendly Swiss guy from about 15 km away welcomed us to Switzerland when we said where we were from.
Ross, LOTS of big fish swimming about under the bridge at St Ursanne - I thought they were trout, but I may be wrong.
A quiet place in the 12th century church grounds in St Ursanne.
A row of roses - there was a piano rehearsal going on for the concert tonight. Had to put at least one arty shot up.
OK, so there are lots of shots of the same thing, but we really liked it. Medieval villages are a bit thin on the ground where we come from!
